3D Book Gift with Amazon Card

I made a cute little birthday gift for a special little niece of mine.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the 3D book shape #24130 by Lori Whitlock.  I have used this shape a couple of times before because it is such a fun shape to put an Amazon book gift card into.  On this particular gift I also included a panda bookmark, the gift card and some panda stickers.  I also used shapes #40574 Panda by Miss Kate Cuttables and shape # 13614 Happy Birthday by Samantha Walker.  The panda shape is 3D as is the Happy Birthday shape.  My picture will not do the 3d part justice but it came out really cute and I just love this 3d book shape.

March Tim Tag

The March tag was fun to make and I really loved the technique of using the tinsel ribbon to back a shape.  I did not have the tattered banner die so I had to go to my Cameo stash of designs and I really liked the banner I used and decided that it would be fun to repeat the tinsel technique.  I cut the little eggs from the same Tim holiday paper as the background.  I really love tinting the ribbon with Distress stains.  Thanks for looking and I love sharing so leave a comment if you like.  Happy Easter!

I did my Tim Holtz February tag today.  I think I like this tag the best of all the others I have made.  I did not have much of the original materials on hand that Tim used so I had to make due with what I had.  Lately my goal has been to use my Photoshop elements more to make it more fun for me so when I can I use it to make things like the Queen of hearts into something I can use in my scrapbooking.  Another kind of funny anecdote is that I do have those lovely labels that Tim used on his tag and I searched high and low in my scrapbook room for them but could not locate them anywhere, someday they will show up...  I did luck out with the embossing folder of the Queen of hearts it was on sale at Joanne's when I went there on Friday our "snow day"!  I was lucky to get it quite reasonably.  Oh well off to do another project and watch Downton Abbey, enjoy!
